Dutch custom shop Heritage Customs is famous for creating bespoke Defenders tailored to each customer’s individual tastes. The company allows patrons to work closely with their team of specialist designers and craftspeople via the personal commission guide called Carchitecture. One of the options available is the unique metal-binding technology. Dubbed Magic Metal, it allows all types of real metal to be applied to virtually all interior and exterior surfaces. Building on the success of this striking external and internal treatment, Heritage Customs introduced Valiance Black Steel.
The Valiance Black Steel is based on a Santorini Black Land Rover Defender 110. Magic Metal Black Steel has been applied to a selection of exterior and interior components. Through spraying a thin layer of metal is applied, which then takes the same flexibility as the steel. Following application, the studio can brush, polish, sand, and oxidize the material. Magic Metal service, which now represents more than 60% of Heritage Customs’ commissions worldwide, is unique in the world of automotive and is offered solely through the Netherlands-based house via partner Global Metal Design.
Created by the skilled craftsmen at Heritage Customs, the Valiance Black Steel features a number of exterior changes in comparison to the standard Defender donor vehicle, providing an additional modern twist on ultimate luxury to the Valiance models.
The new Heritage Customs Valiance Black Steel model features 22” painted matt black Supersonic rims. Alternatively, a gloss black variant of this wheel with contrast polished ‘pockets’ is available too.
The car’s interior is upholstered in a bespoke quilted black leather.
