Dutch shipyard Holterman is expanding its Xtreme range of versatile and adaptable motoryachts by introducing a new 60-footer (20m) Xtreme-60. This new model will fit perfectly between the existing Xtreme-54 and Xtreme-78 models, known for their sturdy build, trawler windows, and sleek design.
The hull construction of the first Xtreme-60 is already completed, and the focus has now shifted to the superstructure. Bernd Weel’s design includes intricate shapes and numerous hull openings that allow natural light to flood the interior. In late spring, the two sections will be joined, and the boat will be transported to Holterman’s advanced shipyard in Meppel for final fit-out.
The design and development of the new motoryacht owes a significant debt to its larger sibling, the Xtreme-78, particularly when it comes to exterior space. The long aft deck of the Xtreme-60 has been designed to provide ample lounging space, both in the shade and sun, making it perfect for entertaining guests. The wide side decks, tucked behind deep and secure bulwarks, lead forward to a stylish foredeck lounge.
The foredeck lounge boasts a drinks table and two banks of seating, upholstered in matte white Sunbrella fabric, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing sundowner. Additionally, there is a generously sized forward-facing sunpad, ideal for sunbathing while taking in the stunning views. The cut-away bulwarks offer uninterrupted views of the glistening water below and facilitate smooth mooring procedures.
At the opposite end of the yacht, a versatile beach club awaits. When the transom is closed, a cushioned seat provides an ideal spot to sit back and enjoy the view of the yacht’s wake. However, with the touch of a button, a hydraulic panel opens to reveal a spacious lazarette capable of storing water toys, diving gear, bikes, or any other equipment necessary for your adventure. The bathing platform is designed to lower, providing effortless access to the water, and it also serves as a lift and storage location for a tender of up to 5.5 meters in length. With such versatile features, the Xtreme-60 is well-equipped to handle any type of water-based activity.
The Xtreme-60 boasts luxurious accommodations crafted by the talented Kitty van der Kamp. The entire yacht has been thoughtfully designed with the owner’s comfort in mind. The main deck features a spacious and open-plan saloon with wrap-around glazing, providing a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding waters. The saloon connects seamlessly to the lounging and dining area on the aft deck, creating a spacious and inviting area for relaxation and entertainment. The yacht’s heart lies in this central area, which features a high-end galley, perfect for preparing gourmet meals, as well as a cozy indoor dining area and comfortable sofas for unwinding after a day of water activities.
Located up a half-staircase forward, the semi-partitioned wheelhouse offers excellent visibility on all sides, including clear sightlines to the aft of the yacht. On the first model, the lower deck has been configured as a spacious full-beam master cabin with ample storage, a desk, and a vanity table. The ensuite shower room boasts an opulent design with separate his and hers basins and a large walk-in shower. Moving forward, guests will find a cozy TV lounge illuminated by large hull windows and an overhead skylight, a feature requested by the first owner. A well-appointed guest double cabin is located in the bow with access to a second bathroom that doubles as a day head.
The Xtreme-60 is powered by two highly efficient Volvo Penta D6-300hp engines, capable of achieving an impressive 8-knot cruising speed or 11 knots at full throttle. With 5,000 liters of fuel tankage, this reliable setup provides an adventurous range of approximately 1,100 nautical miles. Comfort both at sea and at anchor is guaranteed by the yacht’s advanced DMS stabilization system.
Scheduled for delivery in early 2024, the first Xtreme-60 will be heading north, but this versatile vessel could just as easily be adapted for warm water use.
