Hublot is the Official Timekeeper of the FIFA World Cup 2022™. As the countdown to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ is on, the Swiss watchmaker announces the Big Bang e FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, a connected watch with a new ”timeline” function.
The Big Bang e FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ is a Gen3 connected watch in Hublot’s collection and is the highest-performing Big Bang e to date. Before the tournament starts, the watch will be in countdown mode, keeping track of the days until the opening match on November 20 between Qatar and Ecuador. Then, with 15 minutes to go before each match, It will show team line-ups and player profiles. As a game begins, the Big Bang e FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ will automatically enter “match mode” and activate “timeline”, a feature that will help fans not to miss the most memorable and most important moments in football.
The outer edge of the dial will be a scale split into five sections, indicating the first and second halves, additional time allowed in each half, and half time. If a goal is scored, the watch will show a match event animation saying the player’s name, and a football symbol will appear at the appropriate minute mark on the scale. The same thing happens if there is a yellow card, a red card or a penalty. If a match goes beyond normal time, the watch display will switch into extra time mode, and then again into shootout mode, in the event a match goes to penalties.
The wearer will be able to replay these events by scrolling around the dial using the watch’s crown. After five seconds of inactivity, the watch automatically switches into “low consumption mode” to save battery. This legible, ergonomic, gloriously interactive functionality is unique to the Big Bang e FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.
The Big Bang e FIFA World Cup Qatar’s 44mm case comes in micro-blasted and polished black ceramic and black titanium. Its Qualcomm® Snapdragon Wear™ 4100 processor is powered with the latest version of Wear OS by Google™ (Wear OS 3). A dedicated app created for the watch offers the wearer a seamless experience. The watch’s hardware specification includes an accelerometer, a gyroscope, a microphone a speaker, GPS and a heart-rate monitor. It also comes with a full suite of preloaded apps that enable wearers to stay connected and to track activity, health and more. Wearers can discover more great apps with Google Play on their watches.
The Big Bang e FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ comes with dozens of dial options available through the accompanying smartphone app. The official version has a burgundy dial and a black and burgundy lined rubber strap inspired by the flag colors of the State of Qatar, FIFA World Cup 2022™ Host Country. Fans will also be able to choose dial and strap designs in the colors of each of the 32 participating countries.
