For decades, the Bose QuietComfort series has been a hallmark of excellence in the realm of noise-cancelling headphones, setting a standard for quality, comfort, and sound that others have struggled to match. Now, Bose is set to redefine the benchmark with the release of its next-generation QuietComfort line, featuring the QuietComfort Ultra Headphones, QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds, and QuietComfort Headphones. These devices uphold the legendary reputation of the QuietComfort brand, delivering world-class noise cancellation, high-quality audio, and unparalleled comfort and stability. The brand also introduces a groundbreaking feature known as Bose Immersive Audio, elevating the listening experience to new heights.
The QuietComfort Ultra Headphones and QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds represent the pinnacle of Bose’s engineering prowess. Set to be available in early October, these devices come in two sleek colors: Black and White Smoke. The QuietComfort Headphones, on the other hand, will be released on September 21st, featuring an additional limited-edition Cypress Green variant.
The star of the show is undoubtedly the Bose Immersive Audio technology. This revolutionary feature takes traditional audio to the next level, creating a wider, more expansive soundstage, regardless of your audio source. It essentially places you in the acoustic sweet spot, immersing you in sound like never before. Unlike traditional headphones that collapse the soundstage into your head, Bose Immersive Audio spatializes the audio, making it seem as if it’s right in front of you. This effect is achieved through an onboard IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) and proprietary Bose digital signal processing software, unique to the QuietComfort Ultra Headphones and Earbuds.
But that’s not all; Bose Immersive Audio offers two distinct modes – “Still” and “Motion.” “Still” mode is perfect for stationary listening, as it keeps the audio firmly fixed in one position. In contrast, “Motion” mode allows the audio to move with you, ideal for when you’re on the move, ensuring an immersive experience wherever you go.
Replacing the Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 as Bose’s flagship banded headphone, the QuietComfort Ultra Headphones offer a compelling blend of Bose Immersive Audio, world-class noise cancellation, and CustomTune audio calibration. This combination delivers a sound experience that’s perfectly optimized for your ears, thanks to proprietary signal processing, a robust chipset, and advanced microphones. Beyond just enhanced audio, these headphones feature Bose Aware Mode with ActiveSense technology, ensuring crystal-clear calls and voice commands even in noisy environments.
The design of the QuietComfort Ultra Headphones has also received an upgrade. The modern, premium design features minimal seams and part splits for a sleek look. The headphones fold flat into a compact storage case for convenience and portability. Intuitive physical controls are located on the right earcup, making them easy to use. With up to 24 hours of battery life with Immersive Audio off, these headphones ensure you can enjoy your music for extended periods.
The QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds build upon the success of their predecessors, the QC Earbuds II. These earbuds continue to deliver world-class noise cancellation and CustomTune sound calibration technology. However, the addition of dynamic microphone mixing and adaptive filters ensures superior call quality even in challenging environments.
The design of the Ultra Earbuds has been refreshed, featuring a new metallic treatment for a more luxurious appearance. Stability bands ensure a secure and comfortable fit, optimizing performance and stability during use. With up to six hours of battery life (four hours with Immersive Audio on), the Ultra Earbuds provide ample listening time. An optional wireless charging case cover, available separately, offers wireless charging convenience starting October 20th.
The QuietComfort Headphones, set to replace the QuietComfort 45 Headphones, offer powerful high-fidelity audio coupled with renowned noise cancellation. What sets them apart is the ability to adjust noise cancellation levels and create custom modes. They support multipoint Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, and a single charge via USB-C provides up to 24 hours of battery life.
Both wired and wireless listening options are available, with an included audio cable featuring an in-line microphone for communication. Spotify Tap is supported, making it easier than ever to start your listening session at the push of a button.
All three new QuietComfort products come equipped with Snapdragon Sound™ Technology Suite, which includes support for Qualcomm® aptX Adaptive codec for high-quality audio streaming, including lossless and low latency capabilities. Snapdragon Sound also ensures seamless connectivity with premium Android devices, offering an enhanced listening experience.
The Ultra Headphones and Ultra Earbuds also incorporate Google Fast Pair for effortless pairing with Android devices and are Bluetooth 5.3 compatible. Moreover, these products are compatible with Bose SimpleSync technology, allowing them to pair with select smart soundbars and speakers for a personalized listening experience, complete with independent volume controls.
To unlock the full potential of these devices, the Bose Music app provides additional features like shortcut settings, listening modes, and adjustable EQ. It also serves as a platform for future software updates, ensuring that your Bose headphones remain cutting-edge in the years to come.
