Breitling has offered an exclusive new 250-piece limited-edition version of its “flight captain’s chronograph”. Breitling Chronoliner B04 is refined with an 18K gold case, blue dial and ceramic bezel, as well as a Manufacture Breitling Caliber B04 endowed with an extremely functional dual timezone system.
The mission of the new Chronoliner B04 is to accurately measure flight times while juggling with times around the world. Manufacture Breitling Caliber B04, which is officially chronometer-certified by the COSC, powers the timepiece. The main hours hand is adjusted to local time by simply pulling out the crown and turning it either way in one-hour increments – without losing any precision in terms of the minutes and automatically adjusting the date in either direction. The red-tipped hand keeps track of home time in 24-hour mode, thereby serving to distinguish between day and night. The ultra-hard, scratch-resistant ceramic rotating bezel equipping this aviation chronograph with its timeless look displays a third timezone, also in 24-hour mode. Just the ticket for a long-haul flight around the world.
The Chronoliner is inspired by a Breitling model from the 1950s-1960s. Its signature feature is a broad bezel in scratch-resistant high-tech ceramic (an ultra-hard synthetic material), featuring an original star-shaped cut-out. The red-tipped hand enables second timezone readings in 24-hour mode, while the rotating bezel indicates a third timezone. The performance of the selfwinding chronograph is displayed with impressive legibility on a dial worthy of the finest flight instruments.
