On July 18, a remarkable event took place in the picturesque port of Fano, as the second Pershing GTX116 was launched into the shimmering waters. With its sporty character and relentless focus on ultimate liveability, this remarkable yacht is set to break down barriers and redefine the marine experience like never before. A collaborative effort between Ferretti Group’s Strategic Product Committee, the design firm headed by Fulvio De Simoni, and the Group’s Engineering Department, the second Pershing GTX116 unit is built specifically for the US market, pushing the boundaries of luxury and innovation.
Sleek, streamlined, and brimming with sporty personality, the Pershing GTX116 exudes a charm that is unmatched in the world of luxury yachts. With a hull over 35 meters in length and 7.70 meters in the beam, this unique yacht offers a generous 150 square meters of open-air spaces and areas designed to create an intimate connection with the water, providing an unforgettable experience.
The yacht’s exterior design draws inspiration from luxury SUV automotive imagery, elevating its profile with a signature style feature that sets it apart as a Sport Utility Yacht (SUY). Painted in the classic Pershing grey, with a special shade of blue for the deckhouse, the yacht’s appearance is both sophisticated and captivating. Generous glazed surfaces allow natural light to flood the interiors, creating a welcoming and inviting atmosphere.
Stepping onboard, guests are greeted by a spacious lounge adorned with sophisticated, high-end furnishings arranged to maximize available space. The taupe oak parquet by Listone Giordano perfectly complements the warmly colored furnishings, creating a cozy and inviting ambiance. The main deck features a conventional dining table, promoting a convivial environment for social gatherings. The galley, significantly more spacious than the previous unit, boasts ample storage and modern appliances, enhancing the ease of onboard living.
The cockpit offers an extending fixed table, alongside two teak tables further aft, providing a variety of dining and relaxation options. Notably, the area opposite the cockpit table houses a large bar unit, allowing guests to enjoy seamless moments of relaxation in direct contact with the water. The forward section of the yacht includes a 6-person Jacuzzi, adding an element of indulgence and luxury to the experience.
Descending to the lower deck, four guest cabins await, each offering comfort and privacy. The master suite stands as a testament to elegance and sophistication, with a king-size bed by Frau boasting pecan-colored finishings and ivory accents. Warm, inviting colors prevail throughout the second unit, creating a harmonious and pleasant environment.
The master bathroom is a masterpiece of design, combining technology and elegance seamlessly. It features three interior areas with two regular showers and a central waterfall shower, all adorned with herringbone mosaic by Metalborder, adding a touch of opulence to the space.
The Pershing GTX116 unit does not compromise on fun and adventure. The garage accommodates a jet ski and two water toys, while the exclusive 39-square-meter beach club features a teak deck protected by an electro-hydraulic taffrail, creating a vast space at the water’s edge. The 40-square-meter sundeck, accessed via outdoor stairways, features sportfly furnishings with modular sofas by Minotti, providing ample space to unwind and soak in the breathtaking views.
Equipped with a triple water jet propulsion system, the second Pershing GTX116 unit can reach a top speed of 35.5 knots and maintain a cruising speed of 29.5 knots. Optionally, three MAN V12 2000 engines, each rated at 2,000 mhp, can power this magnificent yacht.
