La Perla is drawing on its roots as it looks to the future. Luxury Italian intimates brand reinterprets its 66-year-old archive through a new limited-edition capsule collection of lingerie, ready-to-wear, and accessories. La Perla 80’s Archive capsule draws inspiration from hero pieces from the 1980s, making much-loved classics relevant to a modern clientele.
To mark the launch of La Perla 80’s Archive collection, the luxury lingerie brand invited London-based model and actress Iris Law and photographer Indigo Lewin for a photoshoot that is inspired by its vintage 80’s campaigns. The pieces that inspired the new collection are as relevant today as they were all those years ago when first created by the Italian designer Ada Masotti.
The limited-edition capsule collection includes 13 pieces of lingerie, ready-to-wear, and accessories. There is a seductive V-neck bodysuit in Lycra and Italian Jacquard lace, a form-fitting Italian Jacquard lace corset that can be worn as ready-to-wear or as lingerie, with a matching Brazilian brief. A provocative full sheer jumpsuit in Italian Jacquard lace and Italian silk satin stretch is contrasted against two elegant dress styles; a classic black slip dress in Italian stretch silk and silk satin with Italian Jacquard lace details, as well as a one-shoulder dress in Italian stretch silk and silk satin. Accessories include an 80s inspired headband in Lycra and Italian Jacquard lace, created from fabric offcuts. Prices range from $135 for a headband to $1930 for a dress style.
