He is venturing into the cigar industry with the official launch of his new super-premium boutique cigar brand, Sacrificio Cigars. Produced by the distinguished Nicaraguan-based cigar maker, Oliva Cigar Co., Sacrificio Cigars is set to make a splash in the global market estimated to be worth $22.43 billion in 2023.
For Julio Cabrera, this marks his first foray into the cigar world. Inspired by his deep Cuban heritage, his love for hospitality culture, and his passion for fine cigars, Cabrera aims to create a brand that embodies the spirit of celebration and joy, perfect for any special occasion, whether it’s a gift, a vacation, or a round of golf.
The name Sacrificio, meaning “sacrifice” in Spanish, pays homage to Julio’s father’s legacy of relentless perseverance and innovation. The brand draws inspiration from Julio’s family bar, “Café El Sacrificio,” in Cuba. It embraces the rich cultural traditions of Cuba and introduces a new generation to the rituals and pleasures of smoking a fine cigar.
Speaking about his new venture, Cabrera explains, “Throughout my life, I have admired my father’s love for cigars, so my vision for Sacrificio Cigars became dedicated to honoring my family’s strong Cuban heritage and our rich cultural traditions.
