Chanel unveils its new campaign for Paris in Rome Metiers d’Art collection, fronted by Kristen Stewart and shot by the brand’s creative director Karl Lagerfeld
Chanel’s muse Kristen Stewart is is back into a spotlight with the French fashion brand’s “Paris in Rome” Metiers d’Art collection. The campaign showcases the pre-fall 2016 collection, which has debuted in December at the Metiers d’Art show in Rome, and is expected to make its print debut in June magazines.
For Chanel’s Paris in Rome Metiers d’Art campaign, the American actress Kristen Stewart poses as a sexy Italian actress in a Parisian apartment rocking pre-fall looks with hair tousled to give an idea of the period, an exposed shoulder and legs flaunting lace tights. The campaign was shot in a Parisian apartment, which Lagerfeld had decorated with Art Deco furniture by Louis Süe and André Mare.[justified_image_grid preset=18 ids=20030,20028,20027,20026,20025 caption=off]
Kristen Stewart gushed that she had a blast working with creative director Karl Lagerfeld on the new treatments, “Karl never turns me into something I’m not. But like all good directors, he is capable of bringing qualities out of people that are sometimes not as obvious to them. Karl directs photo shoots and always provides an environment for a story to unfold. And the way that occurs is very natural. But always under his guidance, which is felt and inspiring. It’s never labor intensive because that is against the nature of spontaneous art.”
