Built by Lurssen shipyard and launched in 2013, the 85m Solandge will be the largest yacht on display at the Monaco Yacht Show
Launched in October, 2013, and based in the US Virgin Islands, the navy blue and white six-deck Solandge, costs a $1.3 million to charter for a week. Lurssen’s successful 85.1m project was completed in Bremen, Germany and the luxurious yacht was later launched from its shipyard in Rendsburg. With the input of interior designer Ailein Rodriguez of Dolker&Voges, and her exterior design completed by Espen Oeino, Solandge is also self-sufficient ship during extended voyages.
Solandge offers true luxury on six extraordinary decks. Her panoramic top deck features a lush beach club area with customized dance floor, Jacuzzi and bar while the bridge deck is perfect for relaxation and casual al fresco dining with a spacious seating area. The bridge deck also hosts a fully-equipped health spa featuring massage room, sauna and gymnasium leading out onto a glass-edged plunge pool.
Megayacht Solandge can accommodate up to 12 guests in seven stylish staterooms, including a panoramic master deck featuring 180 degree windows, private dressing room, his and hers bathrooms and a private deck with spa pool. Additional guest rooms include a VIP suite which can be converted into two spacious cabins and a further two doubles and two twin cabins.
Rodriguez Interiors and Dolker&Voges made sure that the interior of the ship of the dream Solandge is as gripping as the exterior is. The designers used more than 49 different marble and granite surfaces and 33 alternative woods to elegantly garnish a number of unique areas like a large indoor movie theater, vast main salon with bar, games room and seating areas. The tank deck’s tender garage is packed with kit on which to have fun. There are a Centurion wake-surfing boat, three Yamaha WaveRunner jetskis and Seabob F5s, and a dive centre.
Solandge has a steel hull and aluminum superstructure with a beam of 13.80m (45’3″ft) and a 3.90m (12’9″ft) draft. This custom displacement yacht is equipped with an ultra-modern stabilization system which decreases roll motion effect and results in a smoother and more comfortable cruising experience. She also features bow thrusters making her more maneuverable at low speeds. With a cruising speed of 14 knots, a maximum speed of 18 knots and a range of 6000nm from her 220000 liter fuel tanks, Solandge is the embodiment of performance and opulence.
