Who says Valentine’s Day is only for couples? Observed on February 13, the day before the most romantic holiday, Galentine’s Day is a celebration of friendship among women and a perfect excuse for a girls’ trip.
Galentine’s Day at Bellyard (Westside Atlanta)
Girls’ groups can book the Bellyard Suite at Bellyard hotel for some serious pampering. They will be able to luxuriate in an oversized Japanese soaking tub with the new Bubbles + Bubbles package that includes a champagne flight, a bubble menu (with a variety of soak-worthy scents from Lush), and a selection of sweet treats from chocolate-covered strawberries to truffles from a local French patisserie, St. Germain.
Ladies can become their own bartenders with the “Singles Awareness Day” interactive mixology class and learn to create three Anti-Valentine’s Day-themed cocktails or build your own bouquet at Bellyard’s Valentine’s Day Bloom Bar. They will be able to snap a photo of the group in front of the sparkling Midtown skyline from Bellyard’s second-floor rooftop or grab a new Valentine’s Day cocktail from Drawbar, the hotel’s restaurant bar and lounge.
Wellness-focused ladies will appreciate the Self-Care Staycation package that includes in-room IV Therapy, self-care essentials (think: ice rollers, lavender pillow spray), a custom facial, and refreshing Dry January Mocktails from Drawbar, the hotel’s restaurant bar and lounge. They will cozy up in Bellyard’s signature robe for a movie night in or head to a selection of nearby restaurants perfect for a night out – like the dreamy mozzarella bar Bastone. Girls will be able to admire and take a photo of the sparkling Midtown skyline from Bellyard’s second-floor rooftop lounge.
Galentine’s Day at Deer Path Inn (Lake Forest, Illinois)
The 57-room Deer Path Inn – a historic and luxurious landmark on Chicago’s North Shore – was established in 1929. The English-inspired boutique hotel reminiscent of a Tudor manor home is known for its spacious, graciously appointed accommodations and exceptional food and beverage offerings across three restaurants (including elevated European cuisine in The English Room). Although couples can find much to enjoy about the Deer Path Inn, a Galentine’s getaway is a great option for friends looking for a fun way to celebrate together. The hotel’s Girls Getaway package includes an elegant and time-honored Afternoon Tea service, and the opportunity to stay the night in luxurious accommodations.
