Pride Month is a month-long observance in celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people, as well as the history, culture, and contributions of these people and their communities. Celebrated each year in the month of June, it is not limited to people with these sexualities or gender identities. Luxury hotels in North America are gearing up to celebrate Pride Month by offering LGBTQ-friendly packages, events, special programming, and more.
InterContinental New York Times Square – New York, NY

To celebrate Pride Month, InterContinental New York Times Square launches “Stay with Pride” package. 5% of the room fee will be donated to the Trevor Project, an American nonprofit organization focused on suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning youth. Guests booking with the package can also enjoy a complimentary round of the hotel’s signature 75th anniversary cocktail for two at The Stinger Cocktail Bar & Kitchen.
Crowne Plaza HY36 – New York, NY

Midtown Manhattan hotel Crowne Plaza HY36 launched its Pride package as well. Lasting through June, “Stay with Pride” offer includes two Pride-themed cocktails at the hotel’s restaurant Burgerology and a curated welcome bag filled with all Pride necessities and goodies, such as sunblock, glitter, and of course a Pride flag. Additionally, Crowne Plaza HY36 will donate $10 for every package booked to The Ali Forney Center, a NYC-based nonprofit that protects LGBTQ+ youth from homelessness and empowers them with the tools needed to live independently. Crowne Plaza HY36 will also be hosting a drag brunch series throughout the month of June and will be serving up spirited cocktails, including the BennyDeLaCrem, Jiggles Caliente and SilkyNutmeg.

The rooms (think: Pirate, Kingdom, LEGO Friends, and LEGO® NINJAGO® themes) feature an innovative Google Nest Hub that can do anything from telling children an immersive bedtime story to sending them on an in-room scavenger hunt or ordering room service.
