For a limited time, starting from today, Louis Vuitton displays its highly-acclaimed Objets Nomades at Houston Galleria Store. Driven by art and innovation, the collection of foldable furniture and travel accessories has been created in collaboration with some of the most talented up-and-coming and established designers today.
The Bomboca Sofa, is a modular piece that was originally inspired by cloud shapes and colorful round sea apples. The result is like a puzzle in which eight removable cushions are arranged in a rigid, leather-covered shell. Other Objets Nomades making their Houston Galleria debut include the Swing Boat, Belt Chair, Spiral Lamp, Palaver Chair, Talisman Table, Totem Floral, and Blossom Stool. Each object is an encounter between a designer and Louis Vuitton’s creative artisans, a mixing of their different savoir-faires in an imaginative interpretation of the idea of travel.
Launched in 2012, the limited-edition collection pays homage to the special-order that are the heritage of the House. Louis Vuitton has recently expanded its collection of furniture with 10 new Objets Nomades, unveiled at the Salone del Mobile in Milan. Visitors of the Houston Galleria store will behold and celebrate the tradition of innovative Savoir-Faire embodied in the exceptional collection. The pieces will be displayed in store starting February 21st through March 7th.
