The limitless and borderless Series 7 campaign for Louis Vuitton Fall-Winter 2017 collection is a nomadic journey into the future. In this urban saga, Nicolas Ghesquière revisits the classics. Shot in a U.S. car garage by Bruce Weber, the campaign evokes contemporary lines and eternal elegance, the dual spirit of the collection.
Photographed in Pompano Beach, Florida, a mix of models and actors grace the campaign. Riley Keough, Jaden Smith, Sophie Turner and Catherine Deneuve make appearance in Series 7 ad campaign, which comprises studio and on-location portraits. In a statement at the time of that now-iconic image’s release, Ghesquière said Smith was chosen for the campaign because he represents this generation’s fashion freedom. “He represents a generation that has assimilated the codes of true freedom, one that is free of manifestos and questions about gender,” Ghesquière said. “Wearing a skirt comes as naturally to him as it would to a woman who, long ago, granted herself permission to wear a man’s trench or a tuxedo.”
TheLV’s Series 7 campaign showcases what’s going to be trending in the new season: denim, plaid prints and mixed materials. The campaign was styled by Marie-Amélie Sauvé. Models Theresa Hayes, Hoyeon Jung, Natalie Westling, Masha Skokova, Alexandra Micu, Sora Choi and Sarah Dahl also appear in the shoot. Models featured in the campaign includes Sora Choi, Sarah Dahl, Janaye Furman, Theresa Hayes, Hoyeon Jung, Alexandra Micu, Atty Mitchell, Santiago Robledo, Masha Skokova, Mariam de Vinzelle and Natalie Westling.
