Louis Vuitton has given the world the most creative connected watch – the Tambour Horizon Light Up. Deeply rooted in the Maison’s watchmaking codes, the familiar silhouette and convex case profile of the original Tambour is used for Louis Vuitton’s third-generation connected watch that was also crafted with the aim of offering an unforgettable user experience.
With a uniquely disruptive design, the watch, that sports a beautifully designed and engineered curved sapphire glass decorated by 24 LED lights. These lights animate the signature Louis Vuitton Monogram ring, like a dancing kaleidoscope of colors that create a mesmerizing glow-in-the-dark animation whenever the watch is activated.
Measuring in at a sizeable 44mm-wide and 13.2mm-thick, the case is offered in a trio of available finishes – polished stainless steel; warm matte brown PVD; a two-tone model in matte black PVD and matte blasted titanium. The Tambour Horizon Light Up is also the first Louis Vuitton smartwatch to incorporate pushers into its design. The 2 o’clock pusher gives users a quick shortcut to shuffle between face options and configurations, while the 4 o’clock pusher offers a one-touch shortcut to a selected application.
Featuring built-in watch faces that mirror the House’s timeless design codes as well as endless customization possibilities, Tambour Horizon Light Up can be set to match the preferences of its owner. The watch can be customized in a rainbow of colors, including 11 bold new gradients.
Louis Vuitton custom-designed a new operating system for a highly intuitive experience using swipes and functional push buttons. The caseback of the watch integrates a heart rate monitor for the first time in the series, which should open up the line to a suite of new fitness-related functionalities alongside the existing sensor suite of a microphone, accelerometer, gyroscope, and an ambient light sensor.
To launch the new connected watch, Louis Vuitton unveiled a campaign that stars an English actress Sophie Turner and a Chinese actor and model Gong Jun.
Louis Vuitton’s third-generation connected watch is available with various straps, including monogrammed leather strap options in white, black, pale pink, or deep coffee brown, along with sportier textured rubber strap options in black or red.
