Surfing is among the sports that made an Olympic debut in Tokyo. American professional surfer Carissa Moore has just won the Olympic gold medal with a score of 14.93 becoming the first Olympic women’s surfing champ. To celebrate this Olympic season, Marram Montauk, Montauk’s newest luxury resort, will be offering a package for guests to hang ten with world-class Engstrom Surf, owned by the Montauk-native Engstrom family.
Situated beachfront on one of Montauk’s famous Terrace surf break, Marram’s lessons can be attended by first-timers and avid surfers alike. The package, which can be booked from now till August 8, includes two nights for two at Marram, a surf lesson for two with Engstrom Surf, complimentary breakfast at Mostrador Marram, and a newly-launched Hali surfsuit from avid surfer and Montauk-dweller, Cynthia Rowley.
A percentage of proceeds will be donated to the Surfrider Foundation of Eastern Long Island, supporting the health of Montauk’s beaches.
Marram Montauk has long been a place for famous surfers to gather. The resort offers Retrospec cruiser bike rentals, and nature walks in the scenic hills of Shadmoor State Park. Guests can stay in one of 96 guest rooms and enjoy access to an open communal lounge and an on-property counter service South American café. The resort also offers a surf shack and lessons by three world-renowned surfers Leif Engstrom, Ariel Engstrom, and Lexi Engstrom.
