Maserati Alfieri 2+2 preview concept
Named after one of the Maserati brothers, Alfieri Maserati, who founded the company back in 1914, the Maserati Alfieri 2+2 will be an altered version of the eponymous concept that was showcased at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The exquisite vehicle embodies core brand values and will be introduced in 2016, followed shortly after by a convertible version.
The official Maserati.com states, “The Maserati Alfieri is a cutting-edge 2+2 concept that has toured the globe to much praise from collectors, press, customers and enthusiasts alike. Created to celebrate the Maserati Centennial, Alfieri explores the stylistic heritage of the brand and anticipates future design trends.”
The Maserati Alfieri is powered by turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine that will send 404 hp to the rear wheels in its initial state of tune. The customers will be able to pick either a mid-range model with 444 horsepower or a Flagship that will pack a little over 510 horses. The 444- and 510-horsepower coupes will come standard with all-wheel drive. In terms of dimensions, it is 4,590 mm long, 1,930 mm wide, 1,280 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,700 mm.
The Maserati Alfieri 2+2 concept was shown in a Steel Flair color that is a liquid-metal shade. The seats, dashboard, and center console are covered in aniline leather from Poltrona Frau. Drawing its inspiration from the the classic Pininfarina-designed 1954 Maserati A6 GCS-53, the Maserati Alfieri concept has a long hood and sleek body.[justified_image_grid]
