The foundation work for Missoni Baia, OKO Group’s luxury condominium tower located in Miami’s rapidly growing Edgewater neighborhood, is now complete and, over the summer, the building started its vertical ascent above street level. The Miami-based development company and its partner Cain International are investing over $150 million in the construction of Missoni Baia, adding to its unmatched portfolio of over 75 million square feet of world-class commercial, retail and luxury residential space over a total of 71 buildings.
The 57-story building, that will top out at 649 feet in height, represents the first-ever branded residences from the Italian fashion and design house, Missoni. The interior design of the building is inspired by Missoni’s trademark colorful design palette. Missoni Home furniture collection will be featured in all public spaces and amenities. Missoni Baia’s architecture was conceived by New York-based Asymptote Architecture, pioneers in the convergence of technology and art in architecture.
Missoni Baia will feature 249 elegantly crafted residences, each ranging from one- to five-bedrooms, and 776 to 3,788 square feet. The luxury homes will offer flow-through layouts with multiple exposures and views of the city, the bay, Miami Beach, and the ocean beyond. There will also be three dramatic duplex townhomes boasting expansive private terraces near the water’s edge, and two spacious penthouses with an option to combine into one larger unit. New York-based interior designer Paris Forino creates neutral, but luxurious backdrops for a broad range of furnishings and art.
Residents will take advantage of a full suite of amenities designed in collaboration with Missoni, offering the comforts of a luxurious resort in a private residential setting. Features include a flow-through deck designed for all-day sunbathing with well-appointed cabanas, four swimming pools including an Olympic-sized lap pool, a children’s pool, and an infinity-edge pool on the Bayfront Terrace, elevated tennis court and an expansive fitness center and spa overlooking the bay.

The finished foundation of the building includes 190 piles totaling 12,160 linear feet, more than 345 tons of steel-reinforcing bar, and 2,250 cubic yards of concrete—the equivalent of 225 full drum-loads in a cement mixer truck. The installation of columns and shear walls is underway for the building’s expansive amenities deck and parking garage, which will include space for 398 cars and 17 private parking stalls.

Missoni Baia is a sculptural tower with an innovative, streamlined, high-performance structure, as evidenced by the aerodynamic super-columns that render the glass façades almost entirely mullion-free. The fin-like corner columns echo the sails and sleek hulls of super-yachts—a fitting metaphor, given the building’s prominent waterfront setting. Landscaping of tropical planting and reflection pools, designed by renowned Swiss landscape architect Enzo Enea, weave together the indoor and outdoor spaces.
