Following its debut this past fall, Chef Fernando Trocca’s Argentinian eatery, Mostrador NYC, debuts two new services at their Tribeca outpost in the Walker Tribeca Hotel.

Mostrador NYC aims to transport diners to the wine bars of Buenos Aires, offering small plates inspired by simple, quality whole food ingredients. Chef Trocca’s brunch gives an Argentinian twist to classic American offerings.

Designed to be shared tapas style amongst the table, Chef Trocca’s evening menu at Mostrador NYC is reminiscent of what he would serve hosting friends at his own kitchen in Buenos Aires. Signature dishes include traditional Argenine offerings and vegetable dishes like Braised Chicken and Sofrito Empanadas, Saffron Risotto with Veal Osso Bucco (Fernando’s grandmother’s own recipe), Smoked Paprika Prawns, Roasted Beet Salad. The menu, however, changes daily based on fresh ingredients and on the season’s produce.
I am driven by this idea of sharing together. That is why I styled my menu in the spirit of a modern-day Argentine wine bar, where shareable plates and South American inspired wine & spirits are served late through the night in an atmosphere warmed by candlelight and conversation amongst friends. I choose quality over quantity, always. There is a truth in simplicity. Fresher produce, better ingredients. That is when the real flavors come alive. I call it a revolution of the simple. – Chef Fernando Trocca
