Necker Belle one of the few luxury sailing catamarans in the world, a high-end sea retreat was purchased in 2006 by Sir Richard Branson for Virgin Limited Edition’s collection of unique properties. The yacht was completely rebuilt in 2009 at Azzura Yachts in Australia, and in 2013 was further improved with new main engines, generators, trampolines and sails. A finalist at the World Superyacht Awards in the ‘Best Refitted Yacht’ category receiving a Judges special commendation, Necker Belle was transformed into an exceptional luxury catamaran.
The charter yacht Necker Belle was designed to be a reflection of Richard Branson’s Necker Island. A mobile version of his island features high-volume interior fit for up to 12 guests in four staterooms and is home to a number of dining and relaxation areas on board. A master suite, a double cabin and two twin cabins are all equipped with en suite shower rooms, flat screen TV and iPod docking stations, all 4 guest cabins are fully air-conditioned. Additionally an area of the main saloon can be converted to sleep two more people, with a privacy screen, separate toilet and shower. The ample interior of Necker Belle is decorated with bespoke maple and bamboo pieces of furniture providing calm and relaxed ambiance.
With a minimum draft of 5.90ft Necker Belle is an exceptional opportunity to ply a voyage in areas where other yachts could be restricted by their draft in shallow waters. The cordial and undoubtedly professional crew of 7 that the luxury vessel provides with, promises splendid moments of excitement with the selection of water toys for outdoor fun.
One of the most extraordinary element that charter yacht features is the ultimate underwater exploration toy – the Necker Nymph, the first-of-its-kind and fully-submersible aero submarine. Two passengers alongside with a trained pilot at the helm can dive down to depths of 30m/100’ for up to two hours, exploring and discovering marine life in the beautiful Caribbean waters. This underwater “aircraft” has been designed exclusively for Virgin Limited Edition and can travel at speeds of up to 6 knots underwater with the diving tour typically lasting between one and two hours.
Highlighting the guest’s stay, the professional chef will treat them with special Virgin Limited Edition gourmand food. Dining can be both formal or informal, on the aft or upper decks, themed or traditional – or even a fusion of everything. An exquisite range of international wines as well as top quality spirits, beers and excellent house champagne are stored in Necker Belle’s own temperature controlled cellar.
