McLaren has opened its largest standalone retailer in the world. Nestled in the heart of Duba, the newly inaugurated McLaren Dubai showroom, a major brand hub, marks a significant milestone for the British luxury sports car manufacturer, further solidifying its global presence with over 100 locations in more than 40 markets.
The grand opening gala, attended by Michael Leiters, CEO of McLaren Automotive, saw over 200 esteemed customers and VIPs gracing the occasion. The event reached new heights with the regional unveiling of the breathtaking McLaren 750S, a spectacle accompanied by a mesmerizing lightshow that brought downtown Dubai to a standstill. Against the iconic cityscape, including landmarks like the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, the event was a celebration of automotive excellence and technological prowess.
Operated by McLaren Dubai, a part of Performance Tuning L.L.C. within the Khalifa Juma Al Nabooda Group of Companies, this state-of-the-art retailer facility is a significant enhancement to McLaren’s presence in the Middle East & Africa. The opening aligns with McLaren’s remarkable 2023 journey, marked by robust customer demand across its GT, supercar, motorsport, and Ultimate models. The strategic expansion of the McLaren retailer network reflects the brand’s commitment to meeting the growing demand for its exceptional range.
A standout highlight of McLaren’s current offerings is the Artura, the brand’s first series-production high-performance hybrid supercar. As production ramps up to full capacity in its inaugural year, the Artura has garnered critical acclaim from independent reviewers, driving an increase in customer orders. Meanwhile, the McLaren 750S, hailed as McLaren’s lightest and most powerful series production supercar, has already sold out well into 2024, showcasing the model’s popularity.
The epitome of McLaren’s extreme-performance legacy is embodied in the Solus GT, a track-only, single-seat hypercar. Originally conceived as a futuristic concept for the Gran Turismo SPORT video game, the Solus GT has transitioned from the virtual realm to production reality, with only 25 units available worldwide. The first delivery took place at ‘The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering,’ during the 2023 Monterey Car Week, setting the stage for the exclusivity and unparalleled performance associated with McLaren hypercars.
Notably, McLaren Dubai’s grand opening follows the 2022 launch of the largest dedicated McLaren Service Centre in the world, also situated in Dubai. Complementing the showroom, this service center, operated by a team of McLaren-trained engineers boasting over 40 years of combined experience, is geared to sustain the brand’s growth. Future-proofed and technologically advanced, it underscores McLaren’s commitment to providing exceptional after-sales service.
Spanning an expansive 950 square meters, the new McLaren Dubai facility is a visual delight, featuring a vast display gallery and a McLaren Special Operations (MSO) studio. The MSO studio offers customers an unparalleled opportunity to personalize their McLaren vehicles in virtually limitless ways, adding an extra layer of exclusivity to the ownership experience.
