This month, Nobu Hotels will debut in Africa with the opening of Nobu Hotel Marrakech. The all-suite property is located in the heart of Marrakech’s “Golden Triangle” in the Hivernage district, close to the city’s cultural heart. Nobu Hotel Marrakech includes 71 spacious suites, Nobu Restaurant and Bar, a panoramic Rooftop with guest pool, stylish restaurant, and sushi bar. For wellness, the hotel will also house one of Nobu Hotels’ largest spas.
The five-star Nobu Hotel Marrakech’s interior celebrates the building’s past but also features Nobu’s modern Japanese style. The space is decorated with local artwork, intricate detailing, and handmade fixtures.
Split across three floors, 71 suites represent the Japanese concept of Kokoro and embody the spiritual connection with the destination. There are 44 Junior Suites, 6 Deluxe Junior Suites, 18 Deluxe One Bedroom Suites, 2 Miyabi Suites and 1 Nobu Suite. Each room boasts views of North Africa’s Atlas Mountain range or Koutoubia Mosque – the city’s biggest mosque.
Featuring its own private entrance, DJ deck and poolside terrace the Nobu Restaurant and Bar will serve Nobu signature dishes including Black Cod Miso and Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno, and new dishes created by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, using locally sourced flavors and ingredients.
The Rooftop is centered around a circular pool and boasts 360 views of the city including the old city walls surrounding the Medina district. The Rooftop restaurant will feature a Nobu sushi bar, and a daily selection of seasonal Moroccan and Mediterranean dishes.
One of the most expansive spas in any Nobu Hotel, the Pearl Spa will offer 2,000 square meters of space that includes relaxation areas, a heated indoor swimming pool, hammams, Jacuzzis, steam baths and saunas as well as a VIP Spa Suite and a gym alongside a Beauty & Hair Salon.
