German refinement specialist NOVITEC dressed the Ferrari F8 Spider in a sporty designer gear made from lightweight yet high-strength naked carbon. The open-top sports car is fitted with unique 21-inch wheels at the front and 22-inch ones at the rear. The NOVITEC range also features high-performance exhaust systems in various modifications including the superlight INCONEL version with 999 fine-gold plating, sports springs, and a hydraulic front lift system.
The NOVITEC engine specialists developed various performance upgrades for the 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with outputs of up to 590 kW / 802 hp, which propels the two-seater to 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds to reach a new top speed of over 340 km/h. From rest, the NOVITEC-tuned Ferrari F8 Spider reaches 200 km/h after 7.8 seconds. To achieve this kind of performance the refinement specialist installs a NOVITEC N-TRONIC control module for each bank of cylinders. They offer specially calibrated mapping for injection and ignition to the electronic engine control unit and upgrade the electronic boost pressure control as well.
The face of the NOVITEC-tuned Ferrari F8 Spider is visually enhanced with a two-piece front spoiler. Such an upgrade decreases aerodynamic front-axle lift, which optimizes the handling stability at high speeds. The NOVITEC carbon insert for the front fascia is inspired by the winged look of current Formula 1 racecars. Carbon flaps on both sides of the bumper direct the airflow into the cooling air intakes. The design of the panel in front of the windshield, the door handles and the NOVITEC side mirrors is modeled after modern Grand Prix racecars. Carbon inserts for the air intakes behind the doors direct the airflow even more specifically to the radiators and air filters.
The rear of the sports car features an understated carbon spoiler lip. Various upgrades are available for the rear fascia such as naked-carbon trim for the production diffuser and as an option a complete carbon-fiber NOVITEC diffuser with redesigned fins. Vehicles equipped ex-factory with a backup camera can be enhanced with a carbon surround for this useful feature.
The front end of the car can be raised by 40 millimeters in order to be able to navigate curbs or parking garage ramps. The front end returns to its original position at the touch of the button or automatically upon reaching a speed of 80 km/h. The NOVITEC sports springs lower the open-top car by about 35 millimeters and thus further optimize the handling thanks to the lowered center of gravity.
