Lamborghini revealed the breathtaking Huracán Sterrato Opera Unica. Inspired by the captivating hues of Sardinia’s seas and skies, this one-off creation is a true representation of Lamborghini’s Ad Personam department’s expertise in unique paint processes and colors. Recently unveiled at a VIP 60th-anniversary dinner event in the exclusive Porto Cervo, this exceptional masterpiece perfectly captures the essence of Lamborghini and pays tribute to the brand’s heritage.
The Huracán Sterrato Opera Unica boasts a mesmerizing crystal-effect paint process that brings the marine-blue landscapes and rich colors of Sardinia to life. A painstaking three-color hand-painted process, spanning over 370 hours, creates the illusion of frozen liquid. Starting with a solid Blu Amnis base, the skilled artisans at Lamborghini etch in a second layer of Blu Grifo and a third layer of Blu Fedra to achieve the awe-inspiring crystal effect. The result is an exterior that reflects the bold character of the super sports car while resonating with the essence of Sardinia’s natural beauty.
The exterior of the Huracán Sterrato Opera Unica features a distinctive matt black finish on the roof, sills, front-light casings, splitters, and fenders, setting off the Morus 19″ matt black rims and muscular, enhanced wheel-arch protection. Inside, the exclusivity continues with exposed carbon fiber elements, Blu Delphinus leather upholstery on the sports seats, door panels, and console, and a dashboard clad in specially-dyed Alcantara matching the exterior color. The steering-wheel is a unique combination of the two materials, creating a truly exceptional driving experience.
The interior is further complemented by accents of Celeste Phoebe leather, providing a touch of contrast to the overall ambience. Embroidered with the Lamborghini logo, the lighter shade of leather evokes the maritime lifestyle and the inspiration behind the car’s design. A seat-panel graphic, laser-etched in silver, adds a touch of intricate artistry, while even the cover to the start-stop button on the center console showcases the crystal effect of the exterior paint.
True to Lamborghini’s tradition of limited editions, the Huracán Sterrato Opera Unica is part of a select series of only 1499 Huracán Sterrato cars to be produced. Each car bears a special plate denoting its place in this exclusive series, along with plates celebrating “Opera Unica Porto Cervo 2023” and Lamborghini’s 60th anniversary, all finished in the crystal effect paint, making it a collector’s dream.
The Huracán Sterrato Opera Unica’s grand unveiling at the Lamborghini VIP client dinner in Cala di Volpe hotel was as unforgettable as its design. The 120 guests, enjoying Matsuhisa Nobu cuisine in a sea-blue themed environment, were astonished as the car appeared on a floating platform in the waterside venue. Presented by Automobili Lamborghini Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann, the spectacle was further elevated by a crew of performers and dancers, culminating in a special video showcasing the vehicle’s creation process.
Following its remarkable debut, the “Opera Unica” will grace the Lamborghini Lounge in Porto Cervo. The lounge, complete with its own Ad Personam personalization area, is open until 10th September. Visitors can admire the awe-inspiring masterpiece and explore a fleet of Lamborghini cars, including the Huracán Tecnica and the lifestyle Super-SUV Urus S, offering test-drives amidst the stunning backdrop of the Costa Smeralda.
