In a celebration of the intersection between automotive excellence and artistic prowess, Automobili Lamborghini and Ducati collaborated with renowned artist Paolo Troilo to transform two iconic models into captivating works of art. The unveiling took place at the exclusive Galleria Cavour in Bologna, Italy, as part of the “Art of Creating Myths” exhibition, held within the broader context of Arte Fiera Bologna.
The visionary artist Paolo Troilo, recognized for his unique hyper-realist fingerpainting technique, lent his creativity to reimagine a Lamborghini Huracán EVO and a Ducati Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini. Both vehicles, owned by the same client, served as blank canvases for Troilo’s masterpieces titled “Minotauro” and “Centauro,” respectively.
Troilo’s fingerpainting technique, characterized by its hyper-realism, brings a distinctive touch to the automotive world. “Minotauro,” adorning the bodywork of the Lamborghini Huracán EVO, is a sublimation of the artist’s vision and the iconic essence of Automobili Lamborghini. Through dynamic features of a male body created with Troilo’s fingertips, the artwork captures the essence of driving the Huracán EVO, expressing dynamism, power, and the innermost emotions experienced behind the wheel.
The Ducati Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini, transformed into “Centauro,” mirrors the fusion of art and motors. The artwork symbolizes a perfect synthesis of the “man,” the “bull” (Automobili Lamborghini’s symbol), and the concept of “myth.” Troilo’s creation on the Ducati embodies an indomitable force, both supernatural and animalistic, echoing the prestige and power associated with these high-performance vehicles.
The grand unveiling occurred at Galleria Cavour, a symbol of luxury and exclusivity in the heart of Bologna. CEOs Stephan Winkelmann of Automobili Lamborghini and Claudio Domenicali of Ducati presented the two models in front of a distinguished audience of 200 attendees. This event reinforced the strong bond between the two brands, each representing excellence in its respective segment, proudly showcasing the cachet of Made in Italy and the prestige of Motor Valley.
The collaboration between Troilo and these automotive giants not only bridged the gap between art and the automotive world but also emphasized the perfect union of the two. The dynamic synergy was evident as the CEOs highlighted the shared commitment to global excellence, underlining the enduring significance of the partnership.
“Minotauro” and “Centauro” are currently on display at Galleria Cavour as part of ART CITY Bologna until February 5, welcoming art and motor enthusiasts alike.
