McLaren, the Americas, has teamed up with the creative storytelling production company, The Outbound Life, to create an exciting 60-second social media film featuring Arrow McLaren IndyCar Team driver Pato O’Ward and the incredible McLaren 765LT Spider. This film is set to premiere ahead of the highly anticipated Indianapolis 500 race in Indianapolis, Indiana.
From a young age, Pato O’Ward displayed remarkable talent and passion for racing. Growing up between Mexico and Texas, he embarked on a journey that led him to France in 2013, where he competed in the French F4 Championship. In 2014, he returned to the U.S. and embarked on the Road to Indy ladder, which paved the way for his current position as the driver of the No. 5 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES.
As the season progresses, Pato O’Ward currently holds second place in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES championship, earning him a dedicated fan base. The social media film provides an exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpse into O’Ward’s unwavering dedication and determination to win races. Moreover, it highlights his deep passion for cars as he takes the wheel of the iconic McLaren 765LT Spider.
The McLaren 765LT represents the latest addition to the prestigious Longtail lineage, which was first associated with the iconic McLaren F1 GTR in 1997. Equipped with a formidable 4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, the 765LT generates an impressive 755bhp and 590lb ft of torque. Its extraordinary acceleration time of 0-124mph in just 7.2 seconds exemplifies its exceptional performance capabilities.
