Bugatti has collaborated with luxury custom bike builder PG to create the world’s lightest high-tech bike, the PG Bugatti Bike. Only 667 bikes are expected to be made from 95 per cent handcrafted carbon fibre parts and each will weigh less than five kilograms. Expertise in development of the bike belongs to PG, handcrafted production is made by Kussmaul while distinctive design and reputation are by Bugatti.
The production for PG Bugatti Bike has already started and the manufacturer even revealed the whopping price: $39,000. The lavish bike will feature the signature pearl oval badge and, upon request, customers of the supercar builder can have their bicycles matched to their own Bugattis. Special paints, carbon in various colors and numerous types of leather make the Bugatti bike the perfect supplement for the 1,500 PS dream car.
All frame cross sections of the PG Bugatti Bike are oversized to ensure maximum rigidity and have even been optimized for the aerodynamic demands of high speeds.
The handlebars are equipped with shock absorbers to substantially improve comfort. Manufactured and processed in Germany, all carbon components of high-strength fibre are handcrafted using prepreg materials and methods otherwise found only in the motor sport and aeronautic industries in order to guarantee the lightest weight and highest rigidity possible. Frame, fork, rims, handlebar, seat, seat post, crank and brake are made of the highest quality carbon fibre available in today’s market.
