G-Wagen specialist Pit26 Motorsports unleashed its newest G-Class custom. Priced starting at $385,000, the specially designed G63 AMG G-Wagen is created for off-road adventuring, desert mobbing and dune running. The new Pit26 extended cab G-Wagen is offered in a sharp dark grigio colorway.
The luxurious off-roader is built on the framework of a 2019-2023 G63 AMG or G550. The interior of the truck was skinned and the rear exterior was stripped. The G63 AMG’s front bumper, rear bumper, and side steps were removed. Pit26 fabricators cut the car directly behind the rear seats and removed the rear glass, which was used in the new crew cab. The AMG chassis was extended by 20 inches. After that, fabricators recreated the rear of the G-Wagen using all the OEM trim and parts in a complex, time-intensive process that reimagines the G63 AMG as a crew cab.
The off-road adventurer features an all-new and upgraded suspension and its re-geared portal axles were reintegrated to improve ground clearance in off-road conditions. New upper and lower control arms, durable steering knuckle, and custom 2.65” Bilstein race performance racing shocks and coils create an off-road-ready suspension. The rear axle got a full lower truss support for added strength. The vehicle sits on either Pit26 20” custom forged simulated beadlock wheels or 18-inch Innov8 racing wheels that provide improved clearance and more delivered grip from the 38” Toyo tires.
The first edition truck includes an integrated custom winch bumper, rear high clearance bumper with full-size spare tire carrier, roof rack with KC off-road lights, roof top tent, factory running board delete with electric side steps for added clearance, custom exhaust, rear cargo storage by truck vault, and dual mountain bike rack bed mounts. The Pit26 G63 AMG keeps all the OEM engine specifications and factory brakes although upgraded tuning and braking is available. The vehicle’s drivetrain can be serviced at any Mercedes dealer.
The new Pit26 G63 AMG interior is the exact same as the original in order to keep the OEM G-Wagen aesthetic impeccably intact.
