Together, they have developed an exclusive electric sports boat, the Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air, which combines Porsche’s drive technology and Frauscher’s expertise in yacht design. This groundbreaking collaboration aims to set new standards for electric propulsion and performance on the water.
The Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air is an 8.67-meter-long daycruiser based on the Frauscher 858 Fantom Air. With its sleek design and superior driving characteristics, this electric boat showcases the same attributes that make Porsche cars renowned worldwide. The yacht embodies Porsche’s commitment to sustainable mobility, delivering impressive acceleration, abundant pulling power, and continuously available performance.
To power the boat, Porsche has adapted and optimized its cutting-edge drive technology designed for road vehicles. The electric boat utilizes the state-of-the-art automotive drive technology of the Premium Platform Electric (PPE), which will also serve as the foundation for the upcoming all-electric Macan. Key components of the system include a high-capacity lithium-ion battery with approximately 100 kWh, a next-generation permanently excited synchronous electric motor (PSM), and the associated power electronics.
Thanks to Porsche’s 800-volt technology, the electric boat can be conveniently charged at DC fast-charging stations, ensuring efficient recharging times. Additionally, AC charging is also available, providing flexibility for different charging environments. These charging capabilities make the Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air a practical and versatile option for electric boating enthusiasts.
The design of the Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom Air seamlessly integrates Porsche’s iconic style. The helmstand, steering wheel, and main console with throttle and integrated displays are all crafted by Studio F.A. Porsche, enhancing the boat’s aesthetic appeal and functionality. With a capacity to accommodate up to nine passengers, the electric yacht offers a spacious lounge area, comfortable sun pads, and upholstered benches for relaxation. Additional features include bimini tops for shade, an electric anchor winch, a premium sound system, and a refrigerator. Porsche’s touch can be felt in the meticulously designed seats and luxurious upholstery, ensuring a high-performance and luxurious experience.
