Riva Dolceriva is a 48-foot open cruiser that breaks the boundaries in its market segment with the help of a number of unprecedented characteristics: a brand-new exterior design developed by Officina Italiana Design, a perfectly optimized use of on-board spaces and details that pay tribute to the heritage of a brand.
Dolceriva is the result of the collaboration between Officina Italiana Design, the firm led by Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta that has designed the entire Riva fleet for over 25 years, the Ferretti Group Engineering Department and the Product Strategy Committee.
The 48 ft long yacht features a full beam of 14 ft. The hull window design has led to an original and innovative hull-deck coupling system: the aft area is freed from the fender bar and features a carbon-fibre air vent with a steel frame. The exterior stands out thanks to the stunning windshield that are made with innovative spherical crystals and feature a slight counter-curvature.
The forward surface on the main deck features the high-gloss mahogany with its twenty coats of varnish, punctuated by a crystal section with a built-in skylight. The exterior part in glossy mahogany features the traditional white maple seams and at the centre stands the chrome-plated aluminium alloy casing. Dolceriva is available in all colors of the Riva range: the first unit will feature the striking Regal Silver with bright black inserts.
The rounded stern is inspired by the iconic “Ariston” and “Tritone” and also is reminiscent of the rear of a luxury sports car. The hatch swings open to display inbuilt mahogany steps and two storage compartments which can be used to house the seabobs.
The cockpit is located beyond the two sun pads that are separated by a central walkway. Furnished with two large facing sofas and a central folding table in steel and mahogany, this area can accommodate up to 8 people. At the centre of the dinette is an access leading to a belowdeck space, which in standard configuration serves as a spacious 4-sq.m storage area.
Beyond is the helm station, with pilot and co-pilot seats. The bridge is equipped with a Garmin Empirbus monitoring system, which combines integrated monitoring and navigation functionalities using touchscreen displays. It is refined with various prestigious details, such as the leather and chromed steel inserts or the carbon lifeline on the left side of the wind screen.
A steel and glass hatch offers access to a luxurious open space that includes a dinette with spacious sofa, a kitchen, and a bathroom with separate shower and closet. A 43-inch TV is installed on the starboard side bulwark. The spacious owner’s cabin, which is located forward, is fitted with a central bed, two walk-in closets and storage trunks.
Dolceriva features a V-Drive axis propulsion system and, optionally, mounts twin Volvo Penta D13 engines each capable of producing 1,000 Mhp at 2,400 rpm. The yacht can reach a maximum speed of 40 knots with a cruising speed of 35 knots at the specified conditions. In its standard configuration, instead, she installs twin Volvo Penta D13 engines, each delivering 800 Mhp at 2,300 rpm, allowing a maximum speed of 35 knots with a crusing speed of 27 knots (preliminary data).
