Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has secured the management contract for Rosewood Seoul, a new ultra-luxury hotel that will be built by Eleven D&C Co., Ltd., one of South Korea’s top real estate developers. The hotel is expected to open its doors to the public in 2027 and will be strategically located next to Yongsan Park, in the bustling heart of the city.
Rosewood Seoul will be situated within The Parkside Seoul that will replace the former site of the United Nations Command. Situated along Noksapyeong-daero, one of Seoul’s primary thoroughfares, the pioneering mixed-use development serves as a vital link between the city’s traditional business district to the north and the modern Gangnam area to the south, making it an ideal hub for visitors seeking to explore the city’s diverse neighborhoods. In addition to the hotel, the area will feature upscale retail outlets and residences that will be interconnected by spacious outdoor areas, designed to foster an environment for leisure and socialization. Moreover, Rosewood Seoul’s neighboring Yongsan Park will serve as a new hub that stretches from the banks of the Han River to the foot of Namsan Mountain and includes noteworthy attractions such as the National Museum of Korea.
Rosewood Seoul’s design will be led by the renowned American architecture firm, Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, who have successfully guided several of Rosewood’s most prominent projects across Asia, such as Rosewood Hong Kong, Rosewood Bangkok, and Rosewood Guangzhou. Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates is known for its innovative and exceptional architectural designs, and Rosewood Seoul will be no exception. Hotel’s design will channel Rosewood’s A Sense of Place® philosophy, which emphasizes the importance of a property’s destination in shaping the overall guest experience. Drawing inspiration from Seoul’s futuristic architecture, characterized by its clean lines and bold facades, the hotel’s design will seamlessly integrate into the sleek and contemporary skyline of the city.
Renowned interior design firm, Space Copenhagen, has been enlisted to design Rosewood Seoul, which will offer approximately 250 of the city’s most spacious rooms and suites. With a range of exceptional amenities, the hotel will be an urban resort in its own right. Among the hotel’s offerings are seven distinct restaurants and bars, as well as comprehensive wellness facilities, promising guests a truly luxurious and immersive experience.
Rosewood Seoul will be the latest property to feature Asaya, Rosewood’s innovative wellness concept that prioritizes the interconnectedness of physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Asaya at Rosewood Seoul will be specifically designed to incorporate Korea’s cutting-edge approach and dedication to health and beauty, creating a truly unique and immersive experience for guests.
Encompassing an impressive 4,500 square meters, Asaya will include multiple treatment rooms, hydrotherapy and relaxation areas, an indoor pool, luxurious locker rooms and saunas, as well as a state-of-the-art fitness center and an indoor golfing facility. Asaya will offer guests a range of holistic therapies and treatments that draw on ancient Eastern healing practices and modern Western techniques, personalized to meet the individual needs of each guest.
In addition to Asaya, the hotel will offer extensive and versatile event space totaling 1,800 square meters, providing an ideal setting for weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings. Rosewood Explorers, the brand’s culturally inspired kids club concept, will also be available for young guests to enjoy.
