Italian shipyard Rossinavi and superyacht interior and exterior designer Ken Freivokh collaborate on a new project, the 48m exploration yacht Argo. Her spacious exterior deck and a trans-Pacific capability, make it a perfect vessel for reaching the remotest destinations in extreme comfort and safety. The explorer yacht has been adapted from a project originally created for the late Tom Perkins.
Rossinavi conceives Argo as the “D” Ice Class vessel with aluminum hull. The open aft areas allow her to host a limo tender, a service tender, a submarine and an amphibious vehicle and a helipad. Argo boasts full navigation autonomy, roomy storage areas, a crane which can launch tenders and a personal submarines and excellent visibility from the bridge deck.
The go-anywhere Argo can accommodate 12 guests in her full-beam master cabin on the owner’s deck, a VIP suite (which can be used as a double cabin for guests), a study room and an option of having a further family or nanny cabin. The staircase from the owner’s deck leads up to Argo’s observation deck opening incredible vista. Owner can opt for a bigger beach club instead of garage, as tenders and toys can be stored on the aft deck.
Argo’s best cruising range is 5,000 nm and Rossinavi will carry out a full implementation of zero-noise technology, an engineering process that looks at insulation processing, air and structural noise circulation, glasses interlayer selection and the selection of interior materials.
