Gucci unveiled a new campaign showcasing the Gucci Valigeria travel selection. Envisioned by Alessandro Michele and captured by Glen Luchford, the campaign is fronted by Ryan Gosling who travels through time and space, setting off from a motel to the beach, and coming across the unknown. The Holywood actor, screenwriter, director, and musician is accompanied by vintage and contemporary Gucci trolleys, hard and soft suitcases, duffle bags, trunks, hat boxes, and beauty cases made from GG Supreme fabric in various shades or in leather with the emblematic Web stripe.
Encased in GG monogram, a trunk leads the protagonist to the unexpected, just as the travel bags of the jet set passing through The Savoy hotel in London where the House’s founder, Guccio Gucci, worked in his youth as a porter, became the very first spark of the idea behind his artisanal atelier. Continuing the story that began over 100 years ago, the House under Alessandro Michele continues to make these special containers of experience.
Defined by the House’s monogram in GG Supreme canvas and the Web detail, the extra large Gucci Savoy suitcase is designed with a vintage influence. The classic combination of these two archival elements is completed by brown leather details.
The Gucci Valigeria range also includes a duffle bag crafted in soft GG Supreme canvas with inlaid green and red Web stripe. A contemporary take on a Gucci archival belt buckle from the ’70s, the Double G is repurposed and appears atop a textured leather tab detail. The carry-on is completed with a detachable and adjustable strap, lock with key holder and luggage tag.
