The Salvatore Ferragamo Pre-Spring 2022 collection adapts the brand’s legacy of innovation to reflect the positive future ahead. It combines modern craftsmanship with future-facing and sustainable values. The new collection was photographed at the Museo Marino Marini in Florence and is modeled by Sara Grace Wallerstedt and Daniel P.
The collection reflects the multiple aspects of Ferragamo’s progressive aesthetic and the diverse characteristics of those who wear it. Sara Grace Wallerstedt and Daniel P – this season’s ‘couple’ – are united by the intimacy of their appreciation for the art around them, and placed in the museum to reflect the observation of J.M.G. Le Clézio: “the function of a museum is not to show us pieces or art but give us the opportunity, the tools, to look at ourselves through those objects”.
Womenswear collection includes upcycled, overdyed vintage scarf print yardage from the Ferragamo archives, biker jacket, skirt and sleeveless coat, drapey, semi-sheer dress in recycled jersey, marinière striped top and black silk knitted skirt, patchwork upcycled leather minidress, crinkled washed bomber with logo knit and flared refreshed denim, split-chino pleated skirt in cotton silk gabardine, artisan kaleidoscope marbling fil coupe.
The Salvatore Ferragamo Pre-Spring 2022 collection’s shoes range for women includes elevated point-toed mule on the F-heel, the Future Positive scuba-sneaker, and a new womens mens-construction penny loafer. The shoes offering can be paired with a bucket bag in birdcage construction that mimics Salvatore Ferragamo’s 1951 Kimo shoe design with interchangeable sleeves.
Menswear collection comprises leather dressing in rich caramel suede, multi-material reimagined military chinos, deconstructed silk smoking jacket with mohair trousers, reinvented carpenter’s jeans, classic Firenze peacock tailoring, versatile and poppy blousons in leather, and coated cotton. Bold-soled minimal upper Gancini sandal, crochet cotton driving shoe can finish the sophisticated look.
