Sanlorenzo‘s SP110 is the first model in the new SP – SMART Performance range. The 108-foot yacht was designed by Bernardo and Martina Zuccon of Zuccon International Project, the architecture and industrial design firm, in partnership with Tilli Antonelli, the development and product manager at Sanlorenzo in charge of this new line of yachts, and Piero Lissoni, who designed the decor.
The carbon and fibreglass SP110 is characterized by minimalist design. The air intakes are hidden by a feature of the styling that accompanies the curvature of the glass. The anchor is not entirely visible, with only a slit at the tip of the bow through which it can be lowered and raised.
The yacht features a day area on two different levels that interact through a split height system. The aft area opens up to embrace the water. The design form has created a terrace that reaches out over the water and on which all the technical elements regarding the stairway and walkway is hidden. A hatch also opens from the cockpit, offering stairs to reach the beach and enter the water.
SP110 was conceived with the aim of turning a high-performance motor yacht into a model of efficient technology and energy consumption.
This was achieved with the help of the use of lightweight materials and the choice of electrical components in a very high energy class. A special hull designed with geometrical features optimizes the drag coefficient of the water. The yacht will be available with a choice of engines and significantly improved performance.
