The Goodwood Festival Of Speed, one of the most anticipated events in Great Britain and further afield, will be taking place from 8 to 11 July. And to mark the tenth anniversary of the presentation of Pagani Huayra, one of the flagship models of Pagani Automobili, the marque will showcase the Huayra Roadster BC and the Huayra 760 VR at this year’s event.
Unveiled for the first time in 2011 and inspired by the philosophy of Leonardo Da Vinci, the Huayra is a perfect blend of scientific and artistic research. The Roadster BC will be the key player of the “Hillclimb”, the famous uphill race, one of the highlights of the Goodwood Festival Of Speed.
Designed for the track but developed for the road, the vehicle set a new world record for road-legal cars during the validation tests on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium with a time of 2:23,081 minutes. Plenty of meticulous work was dedicated to create the aesthetics of the vehicle, involving almost obsessive attention to detail, in order to build a Pagani road car with unique styling, able to transmit the superlative driving experience of a roadster in a powerhouse of technology weighing just 1,250 kg.
The 760 VR special project was designed and developed along with the client and on show on the “Cartier Style et Luxe” Concours Lawn at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. This exclusive custom-built model includes materials and stylistic traits borrowed from the aviation world.
