SkyDeck is a concept of a glass-enclosed canopy, that sits on top of the fuselage of an aircraft for passengers to enjoy an amazing vantage point that offers 360-degree views of the world outside

The SkyDeck would boast specifically designed seats that would rotate in any direction during flight. The canopy’s teardrop shape and minimal height have also been elaborately engineered so not to interfere with the airflow across a plane’s fuselage and tail surfaces. Anti-condensation film would prevent the windows from fogging and a UV-protection coating would be able to withstand all load conditions.
The SkyDeck canopy is promised to be created from high-strength materials analogous to those used in the canopies of supersonic fighter jets, and will be designed to withstand all load conditions, including bird strikes. Each system will be custom-fitted to the aircraft type and will be certified to meet all safety requirements of the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration.
Depending on whether a 1 or 2 seat SkyDeck with stairs or elevator is selected, along with the type of aircraft, the cost is estimated to be from $8-25 million installed and certified.
