Misfit Wearables has introduced a luxury version of the Misfit Shine activity tracker dubbed as Swarovski Shine while in partnership with Swarovski. The company had launched the wearable at the ongoing CES-2015. The new Swarovski Shine Collection has been released in three sets, priced between $169.99 to $249.99.
The collection is available for pre-order via Misfit’s online store in United States. Misfit noted on its official blog, “This is the world’s first wireless activity and sleep monitor that utilizes an energy harvesting technology to enable it to never require charging or replacing of batteries. Simply expose the violet Swarovski Shine to light to keep it charged.”
The results of Swarovski/Misfit Wearables collaboration are the nine accessory collection includes bracelets, watchbands and pendants, all designed with Swarovski crystals. The highlight of the bracelet is a large, faceted crystal that can keep count of a user’s steps, measure calories burned and even keep tabs on sleep patterns when used with the Swarovski smartphone app. In addition to running over six months on a watch battery (just like the original Shine tracker), there’s also a violet Swarovski Shine model with integrated solar charging.
The accessories work with the $99 Shine fitness tracker, which comes with a sensor-filled core — the part that houses the data that tracks daily activity — which pops out of the wristband. That means that the sporty band can be hanged later in the day for a sparkly pendant or a glamorous bangled bracelet.
