On June 12th, more than 75 guests gathered at the Waterline Square Sales Gallery to celebrate the highly anticipated new location of Empellón Taqueria opening later this year at the development with an exclusive reception hosted by project developer and GID Development Group President, James Linsley, and Alex Stupak, the James Beard Award-nominated Chef and Empellón’s founder.
To celebrate Empellón’s fifth location, guests had a chance to enjoy a custom tasting menu and margaritas inspired by Empellón’s West Village roots. To be located in Three Waterline Square which has been designed by Rafael Viñoly Architects, the 4,917 square-foot space will feature interior and exterior seating and front Waterline Square’s 2.6-acre park designed by Mathews Nielsen Landscape Architects, offering a direct view of the park’s fountain and expansive, lush green space.
Other notable event guests included Kelly Kennedy-Mack, President of Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group; John Gagnier, Senior Vice President of GID Development Group; Melissa Ziweslin, Managing Director of Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group; and Norma-Jean Callahan, Senior Sales Director at Waterline Square.
Waterline Square is a collection of three luxury residential buildings on one of the last remaining waterfront development sites on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. The development is surrounded with a nearly-three-acre park and boasts one of the most comprehensive amenities packages in all of New York City, spanning 100,000 square feet. One Waterline Square has been designed by Richard Meier and Partners Architects, Two Waterline Square by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates and Three Waterline Square by Raphael Viñoly Architects. Waterline Square’s beautiful interiors have also been designed by a dream team of interior designers, including Champalimaud Design, Yabu Pushelberg and Groves & Co. In addition to Empellón, Waterline Square will also be home to the world’s first-ever large-format culinary experience by Cipriani, which will include a food market, bar and full-service restaurant.
