Haute couture aficionados and fashion enthusiasts, get ready to indulge in a mesmerizing experience as the sun-kissed Sundara Beach Club welcomes the return of Dior for the second consecutive year. From July 15 to September 10, 2023, Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay will host a captivating Dior pop-up store, café installation, and an array of stunning “Diorized” embellishments. This year’s event promises to be even more spectacular, offering an extended duration and an expanded scale due to overwhelming demand.
As guests enter Sundara, they are greeted by an extraordinary installation created by the renowned French design house. Life-sized sand sculptures of animals set the awe-inspiring scene, leading visitors into a world of elegance and beauty. Dior’s interior designer will transform the 1,300 square meters (approximately 14,000 square feet) beach club into a tribute to the Dior dream, complete with customized furniture, merchandising displays, fitting rooms, and a café. Every detail, from the sea grass carpets and rattan chairs to the soothing tones of beige, cream, and wood, pays homage to the stunning oceanside location. The pop-up store on Sundara’s mezzanine level seamlessly blends natural materials, sand walls adorned with the Dior logo, and sculptures of animals and foliage crafted entirely from sand. Throughout the beach club and restaurant, each corner exudes Instagram-worthy beauty, with the iconic dusky pink Dior Toile de Jouy Sauvage pattern adorning mezzanine shades, day beds, cushions, umbrellas, the bar counter, and even the DJ booth. The centerpiece of this extraordinary setting is a mesmerizing 57-meter-long (187-foot) underwater artwork installation featuring the Dioriviera logo.
Randy Shimabuku, the General Manager of Four Seasons Resorts Bali, expresses his pride in being the first Four Seasons property worldwide to collaborate with Dioriviera. He emphasizes the natural alignment between the two brands, both committed to creating high-end, luxurious, and unforgettable experiences that celebrate the beauty of life. Mathilde Adam, Senior Director of Marketing at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay, adds that they have elevated the experience this year, aiming to create an even more captivating ambiance that surprises and delights guests at every turn. From Dior-decorated buggies to sun beds and cabanas, the Dior pop-up invites visitors to anticipate the unexpected.
The heart of the Dior pop-up lies in the imaginative pieces showcased in the Dioriviera Summer Capsule Collection. Infused with Dior’s signature la dolce vita, these creations offer fresh interpretations of Dior classics. The iconic Dior Toile de Jouy Sauvage motif undergoes a reinvention, featuring soft shades such as creams, greys, light pinks, and blues, combined with playful patterns depicting tigers, monkeys, and reptiles. This captivating pattern adorns skirts, dresses, shorts, scarves, swimsuits, and Dior’s iconic bags – the Lady D-Lite and the Dior Book Tote, as well as the Dior Silk Top, Dway mules, J’Adior pumps, and the lining of the Lady Dior Wicker. With a nod to laidback Mediterranean elegance, breezy marinières and straw hats enhance the seasonal allure of the Dioriviera collection. Dior Maison’s summer essentials, including a yoga mat, surfboard, parasol, and beach games, invite blissful seaside days. Delicate decorative objects, tableware, placemats, and embroidered cushions pay homage to the art of living well. Additionally, an exclusive Bali-inspired line promises to captivate and surprise.
To complement the spectacular experience, the DIOR café presents a unique collaboration between Sundara’s Chef de Cuisine David Gavin and Executive Pastry Chef David Peduzzi. This inspired menu tantalizes taste buds with French Mediterranean flavors and is available throughout the entire beach club. Guests can savor the delectable cuisine while immersing themselves in the all-encompassing beauty of the Dior pop-up.
