The fourth global Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura has opened in Seoul, South Korea, on the top floor of the Gucci Gaok flagship store in the district of Itaewon. The restaurant joins the flagship Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura in Florence, Italy, and additional locations in Los Angeles and Tokyo.
Gucci Osteria is a series of Italian, modern restaurants that captures the youthful energy embodied in Gucci and its similarities with the philosophy of chef Massimo Bottura. The menu is a playful twist on traditional Italian cuisine. Guests have a chance to enjoy a unique dining experience that also incorporates the diversity and identity of its location.
There is an invisible thread that runs through each of the Gucci Osteria globally: one that entwines Italian food with the food and produce of other great global cuisines. Korea – like Italy – embraces its food as part of its culture, and I’m so excited to welcome everyone to our Seoul outpost. – Massimo Bottura
The menus were developed by internationally acclaimed chef Massimo Bottura (owner of 3 Michelin Starred Osteria Francescana, voted The World’s Best Restaurant in 2016 and 2018); Karime Lopez, Executive Chef of Gucci Osteria Florence, (awarded one Michelin Star in 2020) together with Seoul Executive Chef Hyungkyu Jun and Head Chef Davide Cardellini. The Seoul restaurant serves distinctive dishes like the signature Emilia Burger and Tortellini with Parmigiano Reggiano Cream alongside the Seoul Garden and Summer in Adriatic.
