The World of Diamonds Group has introduced “The Jane Seymour,” a rose-gold plated platinum ring set with a rare 2.08-carat cushion-cut fancy vivid blue diamond
The diamond behemoth, World Of Diamonds Group of Companies is behind one of their finest creations “The Jane Seymour,” a fancy vivid blue diamond ring which is expected to fetch over $2 million. The ring was crafted to celebrate British-American actress Jane Seymour’s achievements in the film industry and was unveiled during a private dinner party at CÉ LA VI Singapore on April 25.
At an exclusive event, the Golden Globe Award and Emmy Award-winning actress, author, and fashion designer Jane Seymour was presented to the 2.08 carat fancy vivid blue diamond ring. The beauty of the ring, which she was proudly flaunting on her graceful fingers, was well enhanced by the blue dress she wore. Seymour was also spotted wearing accessories from her Open Hearts jewelry collection, an array of stylish diamond necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings, each celebrating the iconic open-heart design.
The value of blue diamond is proved in the records from auction powerhouses: Sotheby’s 2.11 carat fancy intense blue diamond ring fetched $1,899,322 in October 2015, and Christie’s sold a 1.74 carat fancy intense blue diamond ring for $1,925,000 in December 2015. The size and saturation of The Jane Seymour blue diamond makes it one of the rarest and priciest gem in the world too, while its celebratory status might increase the price further.
As nothing is harder than a diamond, working with it is as intricate as it’s fascinating. The Fancy Vivid Blue Diamond is not an exception. In its rough state, the gem was hardly symmetrical in structure, which meant that with one miscalculation, one slip, and its color would have disappeared entirely. Retaining techniques passed down from generations, the world’s finest artisans dedicated the whole year to deliberating, planning and painstakingly cutting the rough into a magnificent cushion-cut 2.08 carat diamond of perfect proportions.
Platinum, among the most enduring metals in the world, was the choice for The Jane Seymour. The World Of Diamonds Group tapped top craftsmen to shape the contour of the ring, detail the flower motifs and configure the symmetry of the ring. This challenging task was only possible in Geneva through the diamond conglomerate’s design houses, with 3 masters working consecutively for over 2 weeks in rotational shifts. The Jane Seymour is signed “W.O.D. Genève” and hallmarked “PT950”.
At the same event the celebrity received a rare 21.61 carat Amethyst, which is happened to be her birthstone, presented by World Of Diamonds Group. Seymour is in Singapore to perform in the British Theatre Playhouse’s production of “The Vortex” by Noel Coward, at Jubilee Hall Theatre inside Raffles Hotel. As a key supporter of the play, World Of Diamonds Group was hosting a grand gala at the Raffles Singapore on 29th April.
For the exclusive event “Great Gatsby, Red Carpet Glamour”, Jane Seymour was wearing another masterpiece of one of the world’s largest privately held diamond corporations, an extraordinary Ville de Genève necklace which is worth nearly $ 24 million and was boasting an 18.18-carat Fancy Vivid Pink Diamond.
