Time is running out to purchase luxury accessories from Chanel’s six-piece jewelry collection, COCO CRUSH via the brand’s pop-up shop
Chanel
Last month marked Chanel’s conquest for the world of e-commerce with the launch of an exclusive fine jewelry collection called COCO CRUSH on Net-a-Porter. The limited-edition collection includes a wrist cuff, available in yellow gold, and three rings, which are offered in white or yellow gold and three different sizes. Each piece is engraved with the house’s iconic matelassé or quilted pattern seen in a myriad of Chanel’s designs from as early as 1920, and most notably, in its best-selling handbags.
COCO CRUSH collection of jewelries draws its inspiration from the equestrian world. In 1955 Gabrielle Chanel incorporate the quilted style into the signature 2.55 handbag, after observing the diamond patterns of the horse saddles. Since that time the matelassé design can be seen not only in Chanel handbags but also in its clutches, jackets, footwear and accessories, and even haute couture.
The COCO CRUSH 18-karat white gold piece is designed with scalloped edges for the most comfortable fit while the yellow gold ring is ideal for wearing every day and works well stacked with the white gold style. The 18-karat yellow gold Chanel’s cuff is meticulously engraved to recreate the legendary quilted motif. It has a weighty feel and sits close to the wrist and is promised to stay comfortably in place.
The five COCO CRUSH rings created from 18-karat yellow and white gold can be retailed for $3,500. Three of the pieces, including the cuff priced at $20,500, have sold out in less than 24 hours. The remaining three pieces will be available on Net-a-Porter until May 6 before being sold in Chanel boutiques worldwide.
