Starting from today and up to 17th February 2019, The One Barcelona Grand Luxury 5* hotel launches its first ever fondue pop up experience at its Mood Rooftop Bar. This gastronomic evening of cheese fondue and wine will make guests and the general public feel as if they are in the Swiss Alps, as the decor of the venue has been transformed into a Swiss ski lodge. A wooden chalet, that has been installed in the outdoor area of the terrace, features soft lamb skin blankets and wood heaters to keep guests warm.
Made with Gruyère and Vacherin cheeses, the fondues can also be accompanied with fresh truffles or morels. Alongside the fondue, there is the limited-edition menu that includes Nüsslisalat, a typical salad from the German part of Switerland, Vitello tonnato with Sbrinz cheese, Cecina (cured meat) and Tête de Moine. Guests who like sweet-tasting foods will be treated to a special apple strudel created by the hotel’s Executive Chef Miguel Muñoz and a special Lindt Excellence 70% Cocoa chocolate fondue.
In addition, three menus have been created to share with colleagues, friends and family – Zürich, Genève and Saint-Moritz. Each menu with a different type of fondue, a side dish and a dessert. And all, of course, paired with white wines.
The Mood Fondue Experience will be open on Wednesday and Thursday between 7:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. and from Friday to Sunday between 1:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
