This special release pays homage to the original recipe crafted by Don Francisco Javier Sauza half a century ago, a recipe that is rumored to be the genesis of the first-ever Añejo tequila.

The 50th Anniversary Edition marks Tres Generaciones’ foray into prestige tequila. This Añejo begins its journey with 100% Blue Weber Agave, slow-roasted in masonry ovens and tahona crushed. The liquid is then double distilled in copper pot stills and patiently aged for fourteen months in specially selected American White Oak barrels. The in-house charring process imparts a unique essence and craftsmanship to this rare release.
The result is a deep amber Añejo with an impressive 45% ABV. The tasting experience is a journey through the Dons’ original recipe, offering a top note of cooked agave and charred wood, accompanied by a slight smoky nuance. Vanilla, caramel, and red apples follow, creating a highly complex and well-balanced palate. The finish is long and smooth, leaving a subtle warmth that lingers.
To celebrate this milestone, Tres Generaciones introduces Familia Tres, a talent collective featuring world-renowned musicians, artists, and tastemakers. Spearheaded by singer-songwriter Victoria Monét, Familia Tres shares stories within the brand’s ‘GENERACIONES’ content hub, embodying the brand’s ‘Fail Twice, Get Up Tres’ mantra.
The 50th Anniversary Añejo is presented in a limited edition, green ceramic bottle inspired by the Dons’ original 1973 decanter. This exquisite release is now available in limited quantities nationwide at a suggested retail price of $199.99 for a 750ml bottle.
