Literally meaning “The Fifth of May,” Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Battle of Puebla, which took place on May 5, 1862. Nowadays this fun holiday is really more about celebrating the Mexican way of life. In many U.S. cities with large Mexican populations, there are parades, dancing, and festivals. Traditional Mexican food is served and tequila is king when it comes to this special day of celebration.
Cinco de Mayo is right around the corner so dust off your margarita shakers and celebrate Mexican culture with these tequila cocktails.
PATRÓN Tequila
PATRÓN Tequila is the world’s highest-quality ultra-premium tequila. Handcrafted from 100% Weber Blue Agave, it is the ultimate element of the perfect Cinco de Mayo celebration.
PATRÓN Cask Collection Sherry Cask Añejo is a distinctive tequila that has matured for more than two years in oak barrels from Spain that were previously used to produce the finest Oloroso Sherry. PATRÓN Cask Collection Sherry Cask Añejo features medium gold color and boasts the aroma and taste of caramel, vanilla, clove, walnut, and dried fruit. The sherry barrels also impart a prominent and unmistakable flavor of pecan nuts.
PATRÓN Silver is bottled directly after distillation; it captures the essence of baked agave due to its use of a tahona stone, a two-ton volcanic rock that crushes the agave and captures its earthy complex flavors, and a roller mill. In the glass, the notes translate to fresh aromas of fruit and citrus, a smooth and sweet tasting experience on the palate, and a delicate finish of light pepper.

Tequila Cazadores
Made from 100% Blue Agave, Tequila Cazadores needs a seven-step fully sustainable and zero waste production process including double distillation, double fermentation and careful maturation process, crafted by Maestro Tequilero.
Each of the Tequila Cazadores’ 12 ounce cans are naturally gluten-free and features 100% Agave Tequila Cazadores Blanco, real ingredients and Agave syrup.
At least a year is needed for Tequila Cazadores Añejo to stay in new American oak barrels to obtain its golden color and distinct agave flavor which is complimented with cinnamon, vanilla, nuts and peppery, smoked wood.
One of the best tequilas for Margaritas, Tequila Cazadores Blanco is tequila in its purest form, without aging, for intensity and real flavor of agave. With notes of citrus fruits, fragrant herbs, and the customary smooth finish, it is perfect for sipping but it’s especially well-suited for cocktails.
