Rolls-Royce, synonymous with luxury and craftsmanship, has unveiled a spectacular one-of-one Bespoke motor car, The Pearl Cullinan. Commissioned to mark a significant 90th birthday, this masterpiece is a collaboration between the Private Office Dubai and the renowned Rolls-Royce Atelier at Goodwood.
Commissioned in early 2022, The Pearl Cullinan is a result of meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail. Regional Director, César Habib, and Bespoke Lead Designer, Michelle Lusby, engaged with the client to understand his passions and life story, influencing the design direction of this extraordinary vehicle. The Bespoke Pearl Rose finish, exclusive to this motor car, draws inspiration from the owner’s prized pearl collection, showcasing a delicate hint of pink rarely found in natural pearls.
The journey to perfection involved around 30 different iterations of the unique paint finish, each applied to a full-sized body panel. Paint specialists at the Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood ensured that the Pearl Rose finish, combining metallic and pearlescent effects, exhibited exceptional depth and lustre. Extensive testing under daylight simulation lamps and Middle Eastern sun exposure guaranteed the durability of the finish against heat and UV light.
The Pearl Cullinan boasts a Rose Gold coachline and Spirit of Ecstasy mascot, extending the rose gold theme to Bespoke treadplates. The interior features Cashmere Grey front seats and Ardent Red rear seats, paying homage to the family’s heritage. The burr walnut veneer, echoing the presentation boxes of pearls, adds a touch of tradition and elegance.
Embroidery detailing includes Rose Gold ‘RR’ monograms and Grace White rear seat inserts inspired by oyster shell growth patterns. Mother-of-pearl takes center stage with intricate Picnic Tables, showcasing traditional Arabic design and incorporating 1,351 individual pieces. The burr walnut fascia features a Middle Eastern-inspired mother-of-pearl inlay with the Arabic word for ‘father’ in stainless steel. A Bespoke Starlight Headliner recreates the night sky of the client’s father’s birthplace.
