Finnish electric superbike pioneer Verge Motorcycles has launched its latest innovation – the California Edition. Unveiled at the prestigious 2024 LA Auto Show, this limited edition electric motorcycle boasts a perfect blend of futuristic design and top-tier performance, setting new standards in the electric motorcycle market.
At the heart of the California Edition is Verge Motorcycles’ patented hubless motor design and technology. This groundbreaking approach places the motor in the rear wheel, allowing for a larger battery and, consequently, an extended range. The result is a supremely stable and smooth riding experience, making Verge bikes the fastest and most advanced electric motorcycles available today.
The California Edition is built on the formidable Verge TS Pro platform, generating an impressive 1000 Nm of torque. With a top speed of 124 miles per hour and a blistering 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds, this electric powerhouse offers unparalleled performance in its class. The implementation of an Ohlins suspension system ensures elite handling and comfort, providing riders with an exceptional riding experience.
Verge Motorcycles continues to push the boundaries of electric vehicle technology with the California Edition’s advanced battery system. Boasting an incredibly fast charging time of just 35 minutes, riders can spend more time on the road and less time waiting. The motorcycle offers a remarkable range of up to 217 miles on a single charge, addressing one of the key concerns for electric motorcycle enthusiasts.
The California Edition stands out not only for its performance but also for its unique aesthetic. Inspired by the vibrant orange color of the California Poppy, the bike features a dual-tone finish of orange and black on its fairings. The custom California Edition branding on the side adds an exclusive touch, emphasizing the limited nature of this superbike. Additionally, the large touch screen Human Machine Interface (HMI) provides riders with a personalized and visually stunning experience every time the bike is turned on.
Verge Motorcycles plans to produce the California Edition in a limited quantity, adding an exclusive allure to this already exceptional electric motorcycle.
